Period Positivity Promotion
Addressing menstrual hygiene challenges, as 65% of women in Kenya struggle with managing periods due to financial constraints. Bold Girl Unite’s mentorship day at Better Living Children’s Home impacted 20 young girls on menstrual hygiene and 40 children on drugs, substance abuse, and peer pressure, promoting period positivity and confidence.
In addition, Bold Girl Unite has also impacted 35 youths at St. Luthmer Children’s Care Center. Here, we emphasized on education being an equalizer and we supported them with revision books, played games ranging from Gonga the Game to hula hoops and football.
